GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
SWL (Specific Weight Limit) is
visibly marked on Hand pallet trucks and shows an in-date certificate of
inspection or test from a third party competent person as per Factories Act
& Rules and Regulations.
Hand pallets is quite
appropriate on horizontal surfaces and must not use on sloping surfaces or
ramps or long inclined surface it is not recommendable but it can be
allowed when at load with back force on the surface maximum gradient 1: 15. As
an alternative point, the brake should be planned or fitted with Hand trucks which
are safer.
It is also not appropriate when
the surfaces are uneven, dented and very soft. In such cases, it may lead to damage to the surface when soft / to damage the goods or distorted tarmac, sand and lush
areas and it increases our efforts and risk.
Extra attention should be taken when
using hand trucks in divided areas, e.g. loading bays, particularly where no
guard rails are fitted.
During the usage of hand trucks,
their wheels shall be in contact with surfaces all time.
If any mechanical defects while
using, it must be informed to the appropriate supervisor to rectify/replace
